If you want to duel someone that bad, fork out the 100g for a guest invite and get it over with.
We don't need this, especially in explorable areas. Just what we need, some idiot wammo with his ebay'd FoW challenging the monk for not healing him because he overextended. No thanks. |

So, we have dueling already in the game, except it requires a Guild Hall/and/or guest invite and 100 gold, which is somehow deemed to be a superior method than just stepping outside the outpost and dueling. And mutually acceptable dueling equates to Player Killing because PK'ing in PvP is inarguably different and all the billions of Guild Wars PvP'ers are highly professional and bear a samurai-like attitude when it comes to killing others. And dueling is also a form of ganking, after all, you sneak up on someone in your party and stealthily request for them to duel, then, BAM! ================================================== = ANet seems to have a blind spot when it comes to player interaction. Everything is canned, even dueling, it would appear. There's certainly no meeting other players while out on your adventures. Putting a group together requires a degree in human psychology and the patience of a saint. PvP is so divorced from the bulk of game because most people see no benefit in PvP'ing. Player trading is so tortured and spam-ridden it probably would have been better off if ANet had required a Guild Hall and/or guest invite and 100 gold in order to buy and sell things. Yes, spontaneous mutually acceptable dueling would go against the grain of the game design because nothing else is spontaneous in the game. |
